A note about copyright

A legal disclaimer

Anything I write and share on these pages is copyrighted. Unless stated otherwise, that copyright belongs to me. My copyright notice is in my pen name, Scrawl. That does not alter the validity of my claims to copyright in any way. If I share something created by someone else, it will be with their permission and will remain their copyright.

What does that mean?

It means that the works are original, and that they are not to be distributed without consent. If you want to read them and find reading online difficult, please feel free to print yourself a copy. For personal use.  That means no passing it off as your own work, and no trying to use it commercially.

What about fair use?

  • You must recognise the copyright owner clearly on any copy.

  • You cannot use it commercially in any way.

  • The copyright law covering this site is that of the United Kingdom.

  • If in doubt, ask.

  • If you cannot find the copyright date, assume it to be the date of posting as it will have been an oversight.

About Me...

I first started writing a long time ago, decades ago. All of that is gone. What I'm sharing is more recent.

Scrawl, that's me, has been a long time in the making. It's taken me a long time to get to the point where I can share what goes through my head with anyone; I wasn't sure that I should. Some of what I write, I don't share because I'm using other people's creations to mess around with in my head, and in my writings.

What I do share, are all mine. Almost anyway. I make no claims on other people's trademarks or intellectual properties. The characters I use are my own creations, though the worlds may not be. Not even this one.

Life has a way of making you look at yourself in strange ways, and I think that's what most of this is all about. Identity. What makes someone them.
